The Beverage Industry is a Major Contributor to Montana’s Economy

Montana’s beverage companies manufacture and distribute some of the most popular non-alcoholic beverages in the world. We play an important role in the state’s economy by providing well-paying jobs, paying significant tax dollars to the state and federal government and making generous charitable contributions to organizations around the state.

Montana’s beverage industry supports a number of other business sectors and their employees throughout the state. In fact, more than 2,688 workers in restaurants, grocery stores, convenience stores, movie theaters and more depend, in part, on beverage sales for their livelihoods.

With a direct economic impact of $683.54 million, Montana’s beverage industry provides $68.27 million in wages, and contributes $44.02 million in taxes as the state level and $64.62 million at the federal level.

Montana’s beverage industry also generously contributes $724,900 to charitable causes across the state.

Montana’s beverage industry provides over 1,384 jobs in the state.  That number becomes even more impactful when you consider how many people across the country are directly employed by the beverage industry ~252,974.  Of course, that means billions of dollars in taxes for local, state, and federal governments.

Additionally, Montana beverage companies donate over $724,000 to charities and other nonprofits in their local communities.  Without a doubt, Montana beverage companies are delivering for the citizens of Montana!
